Coffee Fundraiser

Today we handed out the forms for the "Ugly Mug Coffee" fundraiser.
- When selling the products, please collect the money at the time of the sale. We have to send our order with a check, so we need to collect the money up front.
- If you sell to people you don't know, make sure you write down the address. There isn't really space on the order form, but you need to remember where to deliver your things.
- The forms and money are due back on March 3.
- 40% of your sales will be credited to your youth account.
- If you have questions or need additional resources, contact Jared Tefft.

World Christian Bible Study

If anyone is interested in getting the World Christian studies to use for yourself or to read in advance, you can get the .pdf here: http://www.nehemiahteams.com/Resources/Bible%20studies/World%20Christian%20Bible%20Study%20_12%20lessons_.pdf

This week we're doing Lesson 8 which I think is almost as good as Lesson 7

Compassion

Our youth group is planning to adopt a child through Compassion International (www.compassion.com). This is something that the leadership group thought would be good to practice what we've been studying about being "World Christians." The cost for this is not much, about $35.00 per month. If every regularly attending person gave $2.00 a month ($.50 per week) we would have enough.
The youth are voting on which child we should adopt, and we will regularly write letters, etc. This money is going to be taken up weekly through a youth offering. If you have further questions contact Justin (jculp123180@gmail.com) or Jared Tefft via Facebook. More information will follow.

Upcoming events

Here's a list of upcoming events for the youth group:
Chili Feed
- Date: January 30, 2010
- Time: 4:00pm-7:00pm
- This is a fundraiser for your youth account. Chili, Taco Soup, Cornbread and tea will be
provided. The cost is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children with a family maximul of $20. If
you plan to be here for this event, notify Sarah Gaskin in person or via Facebook.
- We still need some people to sign up to make chili and bring other food items for the sale.
Please contact Sarah Gaskin if you are interested.

Parents' Night Out
- Date: February 13, 2010
- Time: To Be Announced (Possibly 6-9pm)
- This is NOT a fundraiser. This is something that our youth are doing as a service to the
community. Invitations will be sent out shortly and parents will be asked to RSVP so we know
how many kids to expect, and can get necessary paperwork.
- Donations will be accepted for this event, but they are not requested or required.
- If you are interested in volunteering to help with childcare on this night, please contact Janell
Tefft in person or via Facebook.

Super Summer
- Date: July 26-30, 2010
- Location: Webster Conference Center - Salina, KS
- Cost: $140.00
- This is a week long camp for youth. The theme this year is "My Presence will go with you.
I'll see the journey to the end" with an emphasis on the word "Journey." The speaker's name
is Jamie Tickel and the band for our week is Rush of Fools. For more information see Justin or
Mr. Gaskin, or go to www.justforyouth.com
